This dress is sewn from a soft cotton, hand-embroidered, vintage pillowcase. The buttons are also from the 1940's. This dress is very sheer and lightweight.
I have sewn the dresses in the same style as little girls wore in the mid-century: with two wide straps that cover the shoulders and a full A-line through the chest and below. This shape allows the wearer to use the garment as a comfortable tunic once she is too tall to wear it as a dress.
Size is a 3t/4t depending on how tall the child is. Chest measures 14" across the front and length is 18".
The model in the detail photo is not wearing this exact dress.
